Nathaniel Berg, M.D. is the Immediate Past President of The Guam Medical Society. Dr. Berg, was born in Reykjavik, Iceland and grew near Boston, Massachusetts. After Graduating with honors from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst, he received his medical degree from the esteemed Tufts University School of Medicine.

He began his post-medical school training at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco completing a surgery qualified transitional internship. He completed his Radiology Residency training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. While still in training, he was awarded a commendation medal for improving communication between the radiology department and other sections of the Medical Center . This reflects his desire to improve communication between specialists and primary care providers. He served as The Chief Resident in Radiology and has vigorously pursued continuing his medical education which has included additional training in Interventional Radiology in Malmö , Sweden . Dr. Berg is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology. He has published articles on MRI and the role of the radiologist in preparing for disasters. He has been invited to and presented lectures at national and international conferences. He served in the United States Army Medical Corps for 13 years leaving for private practice after achieving the rank of Major.

Active in the effort to improve the quality of medicine available to the people of the Western Pacific, Dr. Berg hosts of a radio talk show on KGUM – K57 discussing medical topics and politics as they impact health care in Guam.

Dr. Berg is a member of several organizations to include the American College of Radiology , American Roentgen Ray Society, and Radiologic Society of North America.
