Considered to be the best MRI in the world, it provides improved detail, faster imaging, a safer environment and the ability to accommodate larger patients. Before Guam radiology Consultants added this advanced MRI to Guam, exams often had to be repeated when patients are sent off-island, GRC has changed the practice of MRI on Guam. No longer is there a need to repeat exams if patients have to leave Guam for care at a medical center – not with The Siemens Espree. It has the most advanced software available anywhere allowing for the most detailed assessment of essentially all parts of the body. The detail is so great as to often allow for no need to inject any dye. It is the first unit in the region to allow for MRI of the breasts. It can and has already been used to guide biopsy procedures – another first for GRC in this region. It is the widest MRI in the world. It eliminates the old "Tunnel" patients previously experienced. The wide comfortable Espree allows many more patients to have an MRI than previously possible.
